About The Position

Bethune-Cookman University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor of Computer Information Systems to join the Department of Natural Sciences in the College of Science, Engineering and Mathematics. The department is looking for candidates who can teach at the undergraduate level, establish and sustain an outstanding research program, and be involved in proposal and grant writing activities. Preferred candidates will have an MS or PhD degree in Computer Information Systems with desired areas of interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile applications development. Faculty members are expected to be involved in department activities, student advisement, student recruitment, and mentoring students.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field and extensive related work experience or professional certifications (full Stack, CompTIA, CCNA, etc.).
• Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Strong commitment to teaching at a liberal arts school.
• Evidence of successful teaching at the college level is required.
• Must be prepared to affirm and support the Christian and liberal arts mission of Bethune-Cookman University.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Nice To Haves
