About The Position
Norfolk State University’s Department of Chemistry is seeking a temporary adjunct chemistry instructor to teach General Chemistry and/or Organic Chemistry lectures and laboratory courses. The instructor will hold office hours and assist with course assessment as part of the Chemistry program’s annual evaluation.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Chemistry from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry, and to teach laboratory courses associated with prescribed lectures.
- Skill in using assessment and instructionally based technology to deliver teaching concepts and principles.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a diverse student body, with an emphasis on commitment to diversity.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. in Chemistry.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more General Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses.
