About The Position

The Pennsylvania State University, Lehigh Valley campus, invites applications for a position in the Criminal Justice degree program, to begin January 2027. This adjunct opportunity has the potential for a continuing appointment, as needed. The preferred candidate should have both practical work experience in the Juvenile Justice system and relevant teaching experience. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach specified course(s) as assigned, prepare course materials, and provide support and guidance to students. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with diverse student populations and demonstrate an interest in facilitating student mentoring. The open adjunct position is for CRIMJ 441, Juvenile Justice, 15-week contract, on-campus, meeting Wednesday evenings.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in criminal justice or criminology (or a closely related field)
  • Practical work experience in the Juvenile Justice system
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
