Adjunct Graphic Design Instructor
About The Position
Oakland Community College (OCC) is a student-centered community college in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing accessible and affordable learning opportunities. As one of the largest community colleges in Michigan, OCC serves over 12,000 students across its multi-campus system. OCC is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors who are committed to diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical conduct. A key requirement for adjunct faculty is the commitment to utilizing modern technology in the classroom. Applications are kept on file continuously for adjunct positions, and candidates are contacted if a need arises based on enrollment. Adjunct Instructors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Candidates not residing in Michigan will be employed through Edustaff, with employment offers, salary, and benefits managed by Edustaff, not OCC. Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts for all degrees. Official transcripts will be required within 30 days of hire.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Graphics Design OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years recent work experience OR Associate's degree and 8 years recent work experience
- Commitment to using modern technology in the classroom.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred.
- Online teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach anticipated day and/or evening Graphics Design courses, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
- Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
