About The Position

Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Teaching, Learning, & Behavioral Studies has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of Applied Behavior Analysis courses each semester in our synchronous online program. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis is essential. Professionals with experience in teaching online courses in higher education will be given preference. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses that may be available for adjunct teaching may include: Basic Principles of Behavior Analysis Applied Behavior Analysis Behavior Analysis Consultation Behavioral Development Clinical Behavior Analysis Ethics in Behavior Analysis For further information about the Applied Behavior Analysis program, please visit our website at https://online.sju.edu/graduate/masters-special-education/concentration/behavior-analysis Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified online course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades. — Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) offers a wide variety of bachelor's, master's, doctoral, associate and certifi cate programs. With a commitment to personalized attention through a low faculty to student ratio, SJU may call on the expertise of adjunct instructors to complement the work of full-time faculty across all of its colleges and schools. SJU appoints part-time, non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need, student enrollment, and satisfactory performance. Applicants for these positions are screened on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional experience, and instructional background. Adjunct instructors are bound to the terms and conditions of employment at Saint Joseph’s University, including but not limited to the Faculty Handbook. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a closely related field
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to students
  • Instruct an assigned course, providing syllabi and other instructional materials
  • Use of university learning management systems to deliver instruction
  • Report grades at midterm and final times.
  • Providing student learning outcomes data when asked.
