About The Position
The Department of Security Studies and International Affairs in the College of Arts & Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an adjunct (part-time) faculty member. This role involves teaching "The Modern Middle East in World Affairs" at the Daytona Beach, Florida campus. The course provides a historical examination of the land, societies, cultures, economics, and politics of the Middle East from World War I to the present, exploring the complex interplay of religious, social, political, and international forces that have shaped the region’s development and political landscape over the past century. Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in the discipline they intend to teach
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in accordance with course syllabus
- Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
- Hold regular office hours to support student learning
- Collaborate with department faculty and staff to ensure course quality and consistency
