Lesley University's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach CSWRK 1150 - First Year Seminar Prison Stories for the Fall 2026 Semester. The course will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:35 am to 10:50 am, in-person on campus. This First-Year Seminar course will engage students in a discussion about the experiences of incarcerated women and their lives, covering pre-incarceration, incarceration, and community re-integration experiences. These discussions will be blended with discussions about the first-year student's transitional experience. Students will learn about the experiences of incarcerated women while also experiencing writing their own stories. All First-year seminars engage students in inquiry that reflects the mission and values of Lesley University, encouraging reflection on the connection between the university and society and honoring critical thinking skills in a collaborative environment.
