About The Position

Lesley University's Department of Counseling and Psychology is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach GCOUN 6026: Developmental Psychology Across the Lifespan during the Fall Semester of 2026. The course meets on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and is conducted in person on campus. This course explores theories and research on cognitive, affective, moral, and social development from a cross-cultural perspective, addressing implications for understanding human behavior across the lifespan. Prerequisites include being a degree candidate in Counseling Psychology or having permission from the Division of Counseling and Psychology, Associate Director of Advising and Student Services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required).
  • Licensure in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience in the discipline at the graduate level.
  • A commitment to integrating social justice practices into the curriculum.

  • PhD or terminal degree (preferred).
