Nashua Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for its Automotive Technology Program to teach on a course-by-course basis. Adjunct appointments are temporary, cover a specified contract period, and require on-campus instruction. The anticipated teaching need is for weekday classes in Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning during Spring 2026. Applicants should have work experience in air conditioning and heating, and strong organizational and diagnostic skills are desired. Applicants must meet the listed education and experience qualifications. The preferred candidate will have ASE Master Certification A1-A8 or be able to obtain certification in the areas they teach before classes begin. Compensation is $825-$975 per contact hour, with the rate determined by adjunct faculty rank based on education and industry and/or teaching experience. Employment eligibility requires residency in a New England state: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island. Applicants must submit an online application, cover letter, resume or Curriculum Vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and official or unofficial transcripts. The cover letter should list courses previously taught, if applicable, and courses the applicant is qualified to teach. Resumes are not accepted in place of a completed employment application, and Employment History Sections stating “see resume” will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until needs are met and may be retained for future openings. Offers are contingent on successful completion of the required background check.
