About The Position

Opportunity to teach two Early Childhood Education (ECED) courses at the Salem Campus. The courses include ECED 40305 Guidance and Assessment: Supporting All Children, which addresses individual student needs, guidance, and assessment strategies for social/emotional and cognitive development, and ECED 30202 Math & Science in the Early Years, focusing on instructional psychology and materials for teaching mathematics and science in early childhood settings with a theoretical emphasis on cognitive development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education.
  • 4 years' experience teaching in grades K-3.
  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI Background check.
  • Availability to teach in-person on the Salem campus of KSU.
  • Must pass a security check.

Nice To Haves

  • Ohio Elementary Teaching Licensure is a plus.
  • Prior experience teaching at the University level is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ECED 40305 Guidance and Assessment: Supporting All Children in Fall 2026.
  • Teach ECED 30202 Math & Science in the Early Years in Spring 2027.
  • Provide instruction and support to students in Early Childhood Education courses.
  • Assess student learning and development.
  • Maintain availability to teach in-person on the Salem campus of KSU.
