School of BTT Building Trades and Construction Management Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)
About The Position
Virginia Western Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty for its Building Trades and Construction Management program within the School of Business, Technology, and Trades (BTT). These positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. The role involves teaching college-level courses in-person on the main campus, as well as hybrid or distance learning/online formats. Courses may cover topics such as basic blueprint reading, building codes, construction, shop practices, building inspection, construction management, carpentry, or plumbing. Faculty are expected to stay current in their teaching disciplines and in community college education trends, and to actively participate in departmental communication.
Requirements
- Experience in building trades and construction management.
- Ability to teach college-level courses.
- Ability to teach in-person, hybrid, or online formats.
- Willingness to maintain currency in teaching disciplines and community college education trends.
- Willingness to be an active participant in departmental communication.
