About The Position

Manchester Community College anticipates openings for on-campus adjunct instructors to teach Welding courses. Instructional needs include SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, OFC, PAC, and fabrication experience. Day and evening instructors are needed. Depending on the appointment, instruction may be in a classroom or online. Adjunct appointments are temporary and cover a specified contract period. The Vice President of Academic Affairs determines adjunct level based on education and experience. Welding courses are typically 4–6 contact hours. Applicants must submit an online application, cover letter, resume or curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and a copy of unofficial transcripts. Official transcripts will be required if hired. The cover letter should list courses previously taught, if applicable, and courses the applicant is qualified to teach. Applications will remain active on file; the college does not have an immediate need for all disciplines. Applicants will be contacted if selected for an interview. Employment eligibility requires residency within Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island.
