About The Position

Cedarville University's School of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking exceptional Mechanical Engineering professionals to teach undergraduate students in its Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program. This is a temporary, part-time faculty position that values professional experience and a passion for teaching. Adjunct faculty play a crucial role in bringing real-life professional experience into the classroom, helping to develop a new generation of highly skilled Mechanical Engineers who integrate technical skills with an active Christian faith. The program emphasizes rigorous academics, hands-on learning, and practical service opportunities. The School offers an ABET-accredited BSME degree program, among other engineering and computer science degrees, serving over 700 students. Teaching assignments may include traditional lecture-style delivery and instruction in integrated laboratory elements. Remote delivery of teaching is a possibility depending on course specifics. These positions are subject to university policies, credential verification, background checks, and are primarily located in Cedarville, Ohio, with potential for remote work in certain U.S. states (excluding CA, HI, and D.C.).

Requirements

  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional engineering experience in a relevant area of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate subject material to students.
  • Proven ability to relate with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to biblical integration in and out of the classroom.
  • Must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards.

Responsibilities
