NCC Adjunct Faculty- Psychology
About The Position
Nashua Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach in its Psychology Department on a course-by-course basis. The current need is for Introduction to Psychology, taught on campus during the day. Adjunct appointments are temporary and limited to a specified contract period. A strong academic background is required. Applicants must reside in a New England state: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the required background check. Applicants should submit an online application with a cover letter, resume or curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and official or unofficial transcripts. The cover letter should list courses previously taught, if applicable, and courses the applicant is qualified to teach. Resumes are not accepted in place of a completed employment application, and Employment History Sections that say “see resume” will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until staffing needs are met and may be retained for future openings. The salary range is $850–$1,000 per contact hour. The rate is determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
Requirements
- A master's degree in the specific subject or a closely related field.
- Three years of experience in teaching, business, or industry in a related field.
- Residency in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island.
- Successful completion of the required background check as a condition of employment.
