About The Position

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking Adjunct Faculty for Non-Credit Humanities courses. Requirements

  • An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Teaching experience in continuing education or community education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
  • Must be a resident of the State of Colorado and perform all work duties within the state.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
  • Ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching course load as assigned.
  • Teaching classes as assigned by designated supervisor.
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
  • Develop a professional relationship with students & staff that encourages teacher/student communication.
  • Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
  • When agreed upon, and as appropriate, assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
  • Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
  • Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5.
  • Pay Levels range from $20-$60 per hour.
  • Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area.
