About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Faculty member in Non-Credit Community Education. The role involves teaching assigned courses, preparing lesson plans, fostering professional relationships with students and staff, assisting with student recruitment and curriculum evaluation, representing the college professionally, and completing required annual training. The compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5, with hourly rates from $20-$60, determined by expertise and instructional area. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with diverse individuals and must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The position requires the employee to perform duties within the State of Colorado and accurately report their work location.

Requirements

• An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Teaching experience in continuing education or community education.
• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
• Must perform assigned duties within the State of Colorado.
• Must accurately report work location at all times.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
• Constant sitting.
• Occasional walking, standing and driving.
• Occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling.
• Frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
• Constant written and oral communication.
• Ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally.
• Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily.
• Driving a vehicle occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Teach course load as assigned by designated supervisor.
• Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
• Develop a professional relationship with students & staff that encourages teacher/student communication.
• Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
• When agreed upon, and as appropriate, assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
• Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
• Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
