About The Position

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for Non-Credit Art courses. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities are preferred. This position requires employees to perform their assigned duties within the State of Colorado and accurately report their work location. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position required with teaching in continuing education or community education.
• Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
• This position requires the employee to be a resident of the State of Colorado and perform all work duties within the state.

Responsibilities

• Teaching course load as assigned.
• Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
• Develop a professional relationship with students & staff that encourages teacher/student communication.
• Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
• When agreed upon, and as appropriate, assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
• Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
• Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy).
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5.
• A new faculty’s Pay Level is determined by the campus supervisor and ranges $20-$60 per hour.
• Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area.
