About The Position

Broward College is seeking to fill a part-time teaching position for Adjunct Faculty in Mass Communication/New Media Communication. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Communication, Mass Communication, or PR/Advertising, OR Master's degree with 18 semester hours in Communication, Mass Communication, or PR/Advertising.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Commitment to teaching.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Communication preferred.
  • Prior college teaching experience is preferred.

  • Examine and adapt one’s instructional, relational, and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support students.
  • Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
  • Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback on assessments and activities.
  • Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
  • Adhere to all reporting deadlines such as grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
  • Participate in service to the college and its community.
