About The Position

The Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants to teach Comparative Genocide for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. All courses will be taught in person. No applicants seeking to teach remotely will be considered. Course Description: HGS-374 Comparative Genocide (4 Credits- Tuesday/Thursday, 12:00-1:45pm) An analysis of comparative genocide studies, with a particular focus on placing genocide within the broader category of mass atrocity crimes. Students critically analyze contested cases of genocide in the twentieth century. Course is structured around the responsibilities to prevent, react to, and rebuild after genocide and mass atrocity.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and delivery course content for credit courses associated with Holocaust and Genocide Studies undergraduate degree and certificate programs
  • Prepare lesson plans and course materials.
  • Assess student learning.
  • Assign grades
  • Refer students to support resources across campus; respond to inquiries
  • Provide support, mentorship, and supplemental instruction to students related to the course
  • Abide with USNH and KSC policies; participate in appropriate departments/unit meetings
