About The Position

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education serving Central Virginia. PVCC is recognized for its transfer curriculum, its relationship with the University of Virginia, and its Workforce Development Programs. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for adjunct faculty positions as openings occur. This pool seeks qualified individuals to teach Early Childhood Development courses.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Early Childhood Development.
  • Unofficial copies of transcripts for initial review.
  • Official transcripts required upon employment.
  • Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited evaluation service.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching developmental and/or college-level Early Childhood Development courses.
  • Potentially teaching distance-learning courses.
  • Teaching during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends.
  • Primarily face-to-face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction.
