About The Position

Rowan University invites applications for adjunct teaching positions in Psychology for undergraduate and graduate courses. There is a strong preference and need for faculty who can teach classes in person. The Psychology Department offers a range of graduate and undergraduate programs including a BA in Psychology (with online and in-person degree opportunities), a BS in Psychological Science, and a minor in Psychology. The Psychology Department also offers MA degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and is launching a graduate program in Human Factors. In addition to these, we offer several certificate programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department will accept applications throughout the year, and when a teaching vacancy arises, submitted applications will be considered to staff the course.

Requirements

  • At least a master’s degree.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Submit a current and complete curriculum vitae.
  • Submit graduate transcripts.
  • Submit a cover letter or letter of interest including: the type of courses the applicant is interested in teaching and qualified to teach; preferred campus(es) and general availability for teaching; detailed information about previous teaching experience and qualifications in teaching college courses; and the names and contact information of three references.

Benefits

  • Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught.
  • Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
