About The Position

The Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences (BBS) is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses for both majors and non-majors. Courses include (but are not limited to) anatomy & physiology, genetics, cell biology, ecology, and microbiology, as well as general biology for non-science majors. Teaching appointments will be in the Fall 2025 and/or the Spring 2026 semesters. See the Department website (https://csm.rowan.edu/departments/bbs) for more information.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required in a subdiscipline of biology or a field of science clearly related to the course being taught.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of courses for both majors and non-majors, including anatomy & physiology, genetics, cell biology, ecology, microbiology, and general biology for non-science majors.

Benefits

  • Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught
  • Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
