About The Position

Full Sail University is seeking Adjunct faculty to deliver courses in the Computer Science Masters degree program and Graduate Certificates in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Human Computer Interaction. The role involves teaching topics such as Fuzzy Logic, Expert Systems, Neural Networks, Cognitive Sciences, Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Clustering, Regression, and Classification. Students will apply these techniques to create knowledge-based AI agents and machine learning solutions. This is a part-time position, working no more than 20 hours per week, and can be on-campus or online, but the faculty must be a resident in the state of Florida. Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years related and verifiable work experience
  • Required to hold a terminal degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, C#, JAVA
  • Proficiency using software programs such as Visual Studio, MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience as a software developer, software engineer, programmer, etc.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing for grammar and punctuation
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task while working independently and collaboratively with other teachers and university staff
  • Ability to interact professionally and constructively with students and staff at all levels in an immersive, fast paced environment
  • Communication, teamwork, and flexibility/adaptability
  • Empathy toward student issues/concerns
  • Must be resident in the state of Florida

Responsibilities

  • Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills

  • Update curriculum to keep current and relevant to industry standards
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and encourage active learning
  • Create learning activities, including assignments, tests, quizzes and labs
  • Assess student outcomes in a timely manner through effective assessment and constructive feedback to students to support the learning process
  • Perform lectures for campus courses
  • Hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses
  • Interact positively with diverse student populations
  • Provide all students with equal opportunities for learning
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the industry
  • Maintain knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan
