About The Position

The Division of Professional Studies prepares students for careers and transfer opportunities through programs in Business Administration, Computer Media Technology, Education, Hospitality, Visual Media Arts, Paralegal and Legal Studies, and Criminal Justice and Public Safety. Taught by experienced professionals and practitioners, programs combine industry expertise with academic instruction to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking needed for success in today's workforce and continued education. BHCC is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to join the adjunct teaching pool in the Computer Media Technology Department for Fall semester. The Computer Media Technology Department offers the following courses scheduled in-person, day (8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) or evening (6:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.) offerings. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Game Design, Game Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Media, Digital Media, Animation, Web Development or related field.
  • Master's degree in another field with 18 graduate credits in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a closely related discipline.
  • Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as noted above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience has prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue, PHP, Python, Java, or .NET, Database design and SQL, Responsive and accessible web design, or Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • College teaching experience preferred.
