About The Position

The Nursing Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking Clinical Adjunct Faculty to teach clinical sessions within fundamentals, medical-surgical, and mental health courses. The college seeks innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This is an ongoing recruitment process; qualified candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager as needed. Faculty implement course outcomes based on the master syllabus, prepare clinical learning activities, ensure safe clinical practice, evaluate student performance, maintain accurate student records, and submit relevant data to the department or College. Requirements

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Recent acute care experience.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge of the current subject area and clinical expertise in the assigned area.
Implement course outcomes based on the master syllabus.
Prepare pre- and post-conference plans, instructional materials, and activities for students during the clinical day.
Ensure safe clinical practice throughout each clinical day.
Evaluate student performance at mid-semester and at the end of the semester.
Maintain accurate student records.
Submit pertinent data to the department and/or the College.
