Adjunct Faculty, Arts & Sciences - WVU Tech (Beckley)
About The Position
The School of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), located in Beckley, WV, is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in various subject areas for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters of the 2026 academic year. Areas of need include English, History, Music, Art, Mathematics, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Investigations, and Early Enrollment courses. The positions involve teaching in-person and/or online courses. Applications are accepted year-round and considered as openings occur. Salary is determined per course. These are part-time positions and are not benefits-eligible.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in one or more of the course subject areas.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Commitment to teaching excellence.
- Responsiveness to student needs.
- Good communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Doctoral degree in one or more of the course subject areas.
Responsibilities
- Teach in-person and/or online courses for undergraduate programs in the School of Arts and Sciences.
