About The Position

Nashua Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach on a course-by-course basis. Adjunct appointments are temporary and cover a specified contract period. Instruction may be in the classroom or online; the current need is for on-campus courses in the Social, Educational and Behavioral Sciences Department. Courses include Ethnography of Work, Cultural Anthropology, and Introduction to Sociology. The salary range is $850–$1,000 per contact hour. The rate is determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, based on education and industry and/or teaching experience. Applicants must reside in a New England state (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island) to be eligible for employment within CCSNH and its institutions. Applicants should submit an online application with a cover letter, resume or Curriculum Vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and a copy of official or unofficial transcripts. The cover letter should list courses previously taught, if applicable, and courses the applicant is qualified to teach. Resumes do not replace a completed employment application, and Employment History Sections that state “see resume” will not be accepted. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis until needs are met and may be kept on file for future openings. Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of the required background check.
