Adjunct Faculty - Allied Health Nursing Studies - Registered Nurse
About The Position
Virginia Peninsula Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during the summer semester. The teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Applicants will be part of a standing pool from which the College will draw as scheduling needs dictate. This adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment. Instruction may be during the day, evening, or weekend, and may include lecture, lab, simulation, skills and/or clinical. This position may teach courses in allied health – nursing studies programs commensurate with the experience, certification, qualification and/or education such as, but not limited to medical assisting, certified nurse aide, practical nursing, and registered nursing.
Requirements
- Experience, certification, qualification and/or education commensurate with teaching courses in allied health – nursing studies programs such as medical assisting, certified nurse aide, practical nursing, and registered nursing.
Responsibilities
- Design and delivery of instruction for day and evening classes.
- Responsible for student assessment and grading.
- Maintains adequate on-campus presence.
- Provides timely communication with students, staff and administrators of the College.
