About The Position
The Rowan University Department of Music Vocal Division is hiring a studio voice teacher to instruct undergraduate students in various music department programs, including Music Education, Vocal Performance, Bachelor of Arts, Music Therapy, the Music Minor, and the Certificate of Undergraduate Studies.
Requirements
- Master of Music in Vocal Performance and/or Vocal Pedagogy.
- Established career as a singer or teacher in the profession.
- At least three years of experience teaching private studio voice.
- Strong basis in classical vocal technique.
- Knowledge of the pronunciation of Italian, German and French diction.
- Piano skills.
- Knowledge of standard classical vocal repertoire.
- Experience in teaching voice at the university level.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Rowan University does not sponsor work visas for this position.
Responsibilities
- Teach private voice lessons to students enrolled in the vocal division.
- Participate in end of semester juries.
