Adjunct - AY27 Pharmacy Technician Instructor
About The Position
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time faculty positions to engage and educate students in Pharmacy Technician courses. Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Applicants with a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population are strongly encouraged to apply. This posting is to establish a pool of qualified applicants for potential openings at LACCD's nine colleges for the 2026 Academic School Year. When a campus has an opening, the hiring location will pull applications from this pool. Qualified applicants may be offered an interview with Allied Health Department members. Final determination of assignments is contingent upon enrollment, funding, and class availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience; OR Associate’s degree and six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment; OR Associate’s degree and an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) and four years of professional experience.
- A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Verification of Experience on letterhead stationery, showing inclusive dates of assignments, stating if full-time or part-time, and indicating duties. If part-time, the number of paid hours worked per week, semester, or year must be included.
- Must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption for COVID-19, providing vaccination status in compliance with LACCD Board of Trustees’ policy.

Responsibilities
- Teach a range of courses within the Pharmacy Technician discipline.
- Promote engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
- Be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Potentially conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using Canvas or other remote learning methods.
Benefits
- Salary begins at $89.72 per standard hour.
- Office hour differential of $20.99 per hour for classroom assignments.
- Eligibility for a doctoral differential for applicants with a doctoral degree.
