We are looking for an Online General Education Communication/Public Speaking Instructor to join our team. This position will instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs. The instructor will be responsible for teaching courses such as: Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, Critical Reasoning. The role involves instructing students, developing coursework, and making continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies/techniques in teaching. The instructor will also assist with reviewing and revising syllabi and instructional guidelines, regularly evaluate students to measure their progress, and assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives. Maintaining student records, utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery, and providing access to students for ongoing communication are key responsibilities. The role also requires participation in professional development, maintaining CE hours, staying current with college updates, and a commitment to teaching a multicultural and multigenerational student body. Participation in Quarterly Online Faculty meetings and other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing are also expected.
