About The Position

Average of 30 hours per week, over 16 weeks. Availability required (hours should fall within these timeframes) - Monday through Friday: between hours of 0730-1900 - Saturday: 0900-1500 (most Saturdays required) - Anticipated number of days: 4-5 per week - Will require weekend and evening availability, as well as during normal business hours.

Requirements

• Masters degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Candidates with a BSN and requisite experience will be considered.
• Active single-state RN license in Kansas, or an active Multi-state RN license.
• Current BLS certification as a healthcare provider.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience within the last five years.
• Ability to multitask; process multiple sources of information quickly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior clinical teaching experience preferred, but not mandatory.
• One (1) to three (3) years relevant teaching experience in prelicensure nursing education, preferably skills or simulation lab.

Responsibilities

• Staff open lab hours, to include: Assist students learning psychomotor skills, and Complete formal skills validations
• Formal lab set-up and break-down
• Teaching formal skills labs and assessment labs
• Inventorying supplies
• Assisting with lab clean-up/laundry
• Student remediation for psychomotor skills referrals
• Grading, to include: Classroom assignments, and Tickets to class
• Formal Evaluation of students to include: Proctoring Head to Toe examinations, and Skills Check-offs
