About The Position
In the Allied Health Department, specifically the Medical Assisting program, perform/ensure the following: Primarily responsible for assisting instructional preparation and teaching of Allied Health medical assisting courses. The Department is looking to hire two Adjuncts from this job posting. This is an in-person part-time faculty position.
Requirements
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
- Maintain expertise and currency in the area of teaching responsibility.
- Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or certificate in Medical Assisting preferable.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance instructing allied health students in the medical assisting program.
- Assist instructors with evaluating student performance in the classroom and in the lab setting.
- Use new technologies in the classroom (in person and/or remote), as appropriate, to facilitate learning.
- Ensure safety in the laboratory at all times; immediately address any unsafe activity and report it to the instructor.
