The Adjudicator will work on personnel security cases assigned by the Government. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing case files, determining if additional security processing is needed, and recommending such processing to the Government. The role involves reviewing the results of security processing, interviewing subjects, and discussing cases with various stakeholders to resolve information discrepancies. The Adjudicator will analyze case information to show a nexus between subject behavior and ICD 704 issues, providing final written recommendations using Government formats to support decisions on granting, disapproving, or revoking security access. The position requires maintaining security files, purging extraneous materials, and delivering oral presentations to management and boards. Other duties include administering notifications, updating data management systems, protecting acquired information, and responding to government inquiries. A draft adjudicative recommendation is provided to the Government, followed by a final recommendation incorporating any government comments. Cases will be completed as identified by the Government, with potential for spot checks of previous decisions. The role may also involve providing Adjudication training and briefings, potentially including TDY travel. A monthly report on case statistics is required.
