About The Position

Provides pediatric cardiology care with a focus on regional outreach clinics across Colorado’s Western Slope. This role supports access to specialty care in underserved communities by delivering outpatient services, maintaining continuity of care, and collaborating with referring providers and the Heart Institute team. Responsibilities align up to a 0.2 clinical FTE and support the Institute’s regional outreach strategy.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree (MD or DO)
• Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
• Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology
• Prior experience in outpatient cardiology including outreach
• Deep knowledge of congenital heart disease anatomy, physiology and clinical implications
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to multitask

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient pediatric cardiology care in outreach clinic settings
• Conduct approximately 40 clinic sessions annually
• Travel for ~8 outreach clinic trips per year (Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs, Montrose)
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric cardiac conditions
• Interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostics (e.g., ECG, echocardiography)
• Collaborate with community providers and coordinate follow-up care
• Document clinical care and support care continuity across sites
