Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in substance abuse or as a patient care technician is required.
Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification is required.
Alternatively, an associate's degree in mental health or another healthcare-related field is required.
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days Required
AHAFA - American Heart Association First Aid Certification must be maintained 90 Days Required

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in substance abuse and/or addiction is preferred.

Responsibilities

Therapeutic communication is key when interacting with patients, collaborating with the Wellness and Recovery care team, and working effectively with nursing staff, all while exemplifying active listening and non-verbal communication elements.
Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
