About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and motivated ADC Engineer specializing in Cryptography and Identity to join their dynamic and rapidly growing team. This role is instrumental in deploying, operating, and scaling a massive, always-on distributed system that is core to all of AWS. The AWS Identity & Access team is building and delivering the next generation of cloud computing security, supporting public AWS offerings like S3, EC2, and CloudFront. They are innovating new ways of building massively scalable distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, single sign-on, and more, enabling customers to control sensitive internet secrets. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work after starting.

Requirements

• Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), or Associate's degree or above
• 5+ years Linux systems administration experience
• 5+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience
• 3+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP)
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Nice To Haves

• Comptia Security+
• Experience working with scripting languages.
• Proficiency with troubleshooting.
• Experience automating complex tasks.
