Ford’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team develops solutions intended to make driving safer, easier, and more enjoyable. The Virtual Verification and Validation team evaluates ADAS feature functionality and performance—including Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, and Surround View Camera—using Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and Vehicle in the Loop (VIL) testing. The team combines models, hardware, and software to create a virtual representation of a complete test vehicle, runs it through many scenarios, and identifies issues in embedded software. This individual-contributor role focuses on developing ADAS feature test tools and analysis methods, as well as test bench architecture and hardware. The engineer develops and integrates software and hardware solutions, sensor stimulation and simulation tools, and automated test capabilities to validate existing and new ADAS features. The position collaborates across engineering, simulation, HIL, and vehicle test teams to improve virtual testing and reduce reliance on vehicle-level testing. The role is hybrid, with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week.
