Ford’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team develops solutions to make driving safer, easier, and more enjoyable. The Virtual Verification and Validation team evaluates the functionality and performance of ADAS features—including Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, and Surround View Camera—using Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and Vehicle in the Loop (VIL) testing. The team integrates models, hardware, and software to create a virtual representation of a complete test vehicle, runs it through scenarios, and identifies issues in embedded software. This individual-contributor role focuses on developing ADAS feature test tools and analysis methods, as well as test-bench architecture and hardware. The engineer develops and integrates software, hardware, and sensor stimulation and simulation tools; proves out test tools and benches; and supports automated and manual testing, results analysis, and issue debugging. The role works with cross-functional teams to develop test tools and procedures that reduce dependence on vehicle-level testing, while contributing technical leadership in a collaborative environment. The position is hybrid, with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. Ford offers a salary range of $99,600–$166,600; the final salary grade and base salary depend on skills, experience, job scope, responsibility, and market value. Visa sponsorship is available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, with employment eligibility verified at hire.
