Ford is seeking an ADAS Sensing Systems Validation Engineer to validate and continuously improve advanced driver-assistance sensing system performance across its vehicle lineup. The engineer develops and executes design validation methods at the component, system, and vehicle levels, accounting for diverse environmental conditions and cross-carline variability. The role also supports defining use cases, functional requirements, and performance targets for ADAS sensing systems. The position collaborates with Hardware and Software teams, Systems Engineering, Program Management, feature owners, and suppliers to align verification and validation activities with project goals. It supports ADAS system upgrades through modeling changes, regression testing, test-vector support, data review, issue identification, and supplier coordination. The engineer develops system- and subsystem-level designs, interfaces, and specifications, and supports failure mode analysis, functional safety, and integration with existing features. The role includes developing data analysis methods for sensing-system data from SIL, HIL, bench, and vehicle test environments; identifying opportunities to use HIL and CAE for platform and sensor verification; and improving V&V processes using industry best practices and emerging technologies. The position is hybrid, with a requirement to work onsite four or more days per week. Salary grade 5–8, with a stated range of $69,000–$162,900. Visa sponsorship is not available.
