About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Adaptive Skills Instructor (ASI) to provide one-on-one support to adolescent clients in Reseda, CA. The ideal candidate has experience teaching adaptive and independent living skills and is patient, empathetic, and calm when working with individuals with varying support needs. As an Adaptive Skills Instructor, you will help clients build confidence and independence by teaching essential daily living, social, and community-based skills in accordance with individualized goals.

Requirements

• Experience working with adolescents required.
• Patient, empathetic, calm, and dependable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow individualized support plans.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the client's service location.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience providing Adaptive Skills or Independent Living Skills (ILS) services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one adaptive skills training in home and community settings.
• Teach daily living and independent living skills based on individualized goals.
• Support the development of communication, social, and community integration skills.
• Encourage independence while ensuring client safety and well-being.
• Maintain professional communication with families and supervisors.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all company policies and maintain client confidentiality.
