Adaptive Skills Training/Career Pathway Specialist is a hybrid role that is responsible for designing and implementing adaptive skills training plans under the supervision of an Adaptive Skills Training Professional as well as supporting New Horizon’s Youth Navigation Center programs. This role involves working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to address skill deficits in communication, social functioning, and other adaptive skills areas. Guided by student preferences, services may be delivered in school settings, NH Campus, within the community, at their home, and/or remotely. The AST/ Career Pathway Specialist fosters a welcoming, engaging, and outcome-oriented environment for adults with disabilities.
