Care and Adaptive Services Specialist
About The Position
Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Care and Adaptive Services Specialist to join our team of exceptional employees. This position is responsible for providing support, resources, outreach, and referral services, crisis intervention, and consultation in collaboration with Care and Adaptive Services staff. The Specialist’s primary focus is to provide support and resources to FSW students and to assist with or lead trainings or presentations for Care and Adaptive Services. This position is responsible for connecting students to community and campus partners, maintaining timely documentation, and providing crisis intervention when needed. The Specialist is expected to perform their duties in alignment with the mission of the Care and Adaptive Services team.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in counseling, human services, social work, or related field.
- Two (2) years of related full-time professional work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop strong working relationships, positively represent Care and Adaptive Services across diverse communities, and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding mental health resources and education.
- Ability to independently travel to all FSW campuses in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, and Hendry counties and other locations for College business.
- Ability to provide resources and services via video telehealth, phone conference, and in person.
- Ability to learn and be proficient in Maxient to document student Care plans and other required updates.
Responsibilities
