Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Requires experience and competence in schematic design and woodworking.
  • Requires knowledge of shop equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides seating and adaptive equipment fitting, fabrication and maintenance under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Teaches caregivers proper maintenance of wheelchairs and seating systems.
  • Documents patient information and facilitates scheduling of return patient visits for routine maintenance.
  • Maintains clean and stocked treatment areas, shop area and mobile shop unit.
