About The Position

The ADA Shuttle Driver is a seasonal position that safely transports cruise ship passengers with accessibility needs between their ship and town. The schedule adapts to the Ward Cove cruise ship schedule. The role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards and following company policies.

Requirements

• At least one year of related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be over 21.
• Ability to perform and adapt under pressure while maintaining safety standards.
• Ability to deliver scripted narration while entertaining guests.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to kneel or bend to secure ADA equipment.
• Ability to sit and drive for 10 hours per shift.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with safely entering and exiting the vehicle and secure passengers and any special equipment they are traveling with.
• Operate the shuttle lift for special mobility equipment.
• Transport passengers along the designated route in accordance with state and company regulations.
• Provide predetermined narration that is entertaining and informative to cruise ship passengers.
• Answer passenger questions and clearly explain important instructions, including drop-off and pick-up points.
• Regularly maintain the vehicle's fuel level and cleanliness.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report concerns to the Transportation Manager.
• Document incidents and report them to the Transportation Manager immediately.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Transportation Manager.
