About The Position

The role manages accommodation requests from intake through evaluation, determination, implementation, and follow-up, and facilitates the interactive process with employees and managers. It reviews medical documentation, coordinates with Operations and HR leadership to evaluate job functions and accommodation options, and prepares communications about decisions, information requests, extensions, and reassessments. This is a fully remote position requiring a professional, confidential work environment suitable for handling sensitive employee, medical, and employment-related information. Collaboration takes place through virtual meetings, email, telephone, and other company communication platforms. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the role’s essential functions.

Requirements

  • Experience working directly with employees and managers on confidential and sensitive workplace matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, case-management, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to evaluate information objectively and determine when additional information is needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, employee-focused approach that balances individual needs with company policies and operational considerations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using HRIS or case-management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor active accommodations, maintain accurate and confidential records, and coordinate reassessments as appropriate.
  • Guide managers on implementing approved accommodations and understanding their ongoing responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Leave of Absence, Employee Relations, and other HR partners on matters involving accommodations, medical leave, return-to-work situations, attendance, performance, and other employment matters.
  • Provide HR Generalist guidance on employee relations, company policies, workplace concerns, and other HR matters as needed.
  • Handle sensitive employee situations with empathy, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Identify trends, process gaps, and opportunities to improve accommodation practices.
  • Help develop and maintain ADA procedures, forms, templates, training materials, and internal resources.
  • Support training and education for managers and HR partners on the ADA, the interactive process, and workplace accommodations.
