These units provide compassionate, comprehensive care for adults aged 18 and older using an acute crisis stabilization model. The team includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, ACTs, therapists, and social workers. It includes a third- or fourth-weekend rotation and holiday rotation. New team members receive a 5–6-week orientation, which may be shortened or extended according to learning needs, and attend TriHealth Crisis Prevention Institute de-escalation training. The role performs and documents basic patient care under RN supervision, supports a safe and clean care environment, communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and colleagues, and helps maintain unit supplies and equipment. Full-time night-shift ACTs receive a $2/hour shift premium and a $1.75/hour shift differential.
