About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Acute Care Surgeons in Brentwood, TN to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a high-impact surgical career without the corporate red tape, providing an alternative to the demanding schedules often associated with trauma and emergency surgery. The position focuses on providing clinical autonomy and utilizing surgical expertise in a less physically demanding environment than traditional hospital-based surgery.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Acute Care Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
