Overnight Remote Acute Care Psychiatrist - West Coast
About The Position
Array Behavioral Care is the nation's leading virtual psychiatry and therapy practice, dedicated to transforming access to quality behavioral health care through innovative telepsychiatry solutions. This role is for a 100% virtual Psychiatrist on the west coast, specializing in evening shifts, to provide measurement-based, culturally humble episodic care to patients in acute crisis across various settings and states. The psychiatrist will work remotely, immersing themselves in the environment of emergency departments, hospital medical floors, or crisis stabilization units. They will collaborate with onsite professionals to determine timely dispositions and utilize evidence-based practices for individuals experiencing mental health crises. Overnight shifts are between 12:00 am and 6:00 am EST, any day of the week. Array will support obtaining additional state licensure for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist
- Unrestricted, independent licensure
- Established and updated CAQH and FCVS profiles
- Experience providing psychiatric care to all age groups
- Treating patients in acute crisis and providing stabilizing treatment in 24/7 settings
- Communicating with patients from various backgrounds and providing culturally competent care
- Experience working with multiple EMRs at the same time
- Advanced technical proficiency, including using hardware (Laptop, camera, monitors), Windows systems, Microsoft software, and EMR software over several years of experience in telehealth

Responsibilities
- Simultaneously serving multiple emergency rooms, hospital medical floors, and psychiatric crisis programs to evaluate and treat patients in crisis and find the most appropriate and least restrictive level of care
- Receiving support throughout your shift by our 24/7 access center who triages cases and makes sure you have what you need to successfully treat each patient
- Directing and/or implementing psychotherapeutic treatments and prescribing medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Utilizing a collaborative care approach within your partner’s healthcare treatment team
