About The Position

MIND 24-7 is hiring an on-site Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide walk-in psychiatric care in a structured facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The role serves as the admitting and attending provider for adolescent and adult patients experiencing psychiatric crises. It involves psychiatric assessment and treatment, medication management, collaboration with families and an interdisciplinary care team, and participation in care coordination and safe discharge planning. No mobile response, travel, or field work is required. The position is listed as PRN.

Requirements

PMHNP-BC and licensure in the state of Arizona.
Unrestricted DEA license.
At least 1 year of experience in psychiatric or crisis mental health care with youth and adults.
Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychiatric care standards.
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Strong clinical judgment, medication management, and crisis assessment skills.
Proficiency in documentation and use of EMR systems.
Commitment to high-quality, trauma-informed psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

Serve as the admitting and attending provider for adolescents and adults in psychiatric crisis.
Complete psychiatric assessments, risk evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications using evidence-based practices.
Collaborate with patients’ families, guardians, and social services to support holistic care.
Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and safe discharge planning.
Lead the development and implementation of individualized mental health treatment plans.
Order labs, review medical history, and conduct focused physicals as appropriate.
Support policy and program development to improve service delivery.
